Launched by the Karnataka Government, the Bhagya Lakshmi (Bhagyalakshmi) Scheme supports BPL families with at most two girl children born after 31 March 2006. First girl receives ₹1,00,097 at 18 years; second girl ₹1,00,052. Also includes scholarships and health cover.
Eligibility Criteria
- The family must be Karnataka resident and Below Poverty Line (BPL).
- Girl child born after 31 March 2006.
- Maximum two girls per family eligible.
- Girl must complete 8th standard and not marry before 18.
